  • 1986-1990 - University of McGill BA Political Science & History.

    Prior to be elected to office as an Alderman in 2001, Craig was the General Sales Manager for a Multi national Corporation with sales in excess of $100 million per year. He also led the company’s transition from the regulated market place into the private market once Alberta privatized the ALCB back in 1993. He then became the Vice President of the Alberta Distillers Council that actively worked with the Province to ensure responsible distribution to retailers and consumers within Alberta.

    Craig was then elected to office in 2001-2007 where he served as Alderman.

    Since 2007 Craig has been in the private sector where he has been the VP of Business Development for a private equity firm. They have been specializing in M&A’s, corporate business plans & securing equity for expansion for small-mid size privately held companies.

    Craig knows how to read a balance sheet, how to account for every dollar and how to ensure the public has confidence that their money is being well spent and accounted for.

    Craig lead key initiatives such as :

    -Westgate Hotel : finding temporary homes for families that needed a hand up not a hand out.

    -Runaround Program for kids in the Tri-glen area. Supervised activities program were provided for 8 weeks over summer where kids got to meet each other and the parents meet their neighbors.

    - Meals On Wheels: Helped secure capital funding for new meals on Wheels building due to expansion needs.
